Autumn in Ohio means lots and lots of goldenrod. You can see it everywhere, near highways, in the woods, in yards. This is just the best time of year, not too cold for hiking and everything is changing colors.
What I learned from this painting: if you are happy with the background, stop messing with it. I have a very bad habit of wanting to "fix" it, just a little. Then a little more. I need a "pause" button I think.

We all do that one more thing. I was told by a great artist that when you become indecisive (or unsure) thats your clue to stop.
